Girl_in_the_Woods

Girl_in_the_Woods: "This postcard is one of my favorites. It shows a beautiful girl in the woods curiously looking at an owl. The pink detail given to the girl's dress adds a
sweet touch to the picture.

Bertha once again writes to her dear friend on August 30, 1908. "
This is a small but lovely postcard collection with Postcards showing people and places - all sent to one girl - Would a contemporary lover be able of that kind of unflagging affection and incessnat passion and refined wording of all this? Note the complimentary greeting Darling used in Mexiko, the American girls setting obviously the tone.
I would rate it excellent. a telling sample of time and feeling from the turn of the last century.

chile postcards

chile postcards a small but lovely selection of postcards, the site is more or less of personal kind, showing photos of the webmaster in different periods of his life, beginning with his childhood. This is always telling site but strictly speaking, this is not a site dedicated to the postcard theme. It was enjoyable to visit it, however.

Robin's aircraft airline postcard trade page

Robin's aircraft airline postcard trade page: "My collection follows the history of the world's airlines, along the years. Many still exist, others are now defunct or have merged and been re-named.

In 1973, Air Malta Co Ltd (plc), the company we know today was founded. Its history can be read here
Malta's only airline, Air Malta has a rich and colourful history.
I also have lists of Safety Cards, as well as Lapel Badges and also Burf Bags, Inflight magazines and Airline Stickers which I can exchange for Airline Postcards. Click on the respective links to see my lists

NEW! Ever found a 'new' card by chance in your doubles box, with a slight but distinct difference from the one in your collection? Along the years, I have come across many, so I thought of hosting an online reference page, pointing out some examples. Hope it helps you find some new cards......in your own box!!
see........... Twins
..text"

This is certainly a top aviation postcard site and is run by a captain of Maltese Air Lines - the quality of the scans is good, but for a stranger in this field the outstanding quality of the collection may not be so obvious, at first sight.
Congratulation, Captain zammit and keep on your excellent work and take care and be as much as healthy as this job is very damanding and responsible.

The catchers in the Rye

The catchers in the Rye: "The catchers in the Rye
GA RETT TIL ARETS TUR HER" This is yet another site boasting with postcards on it but I found to my dismay none at all.
why is this indexed as poscards, when I could see nothing but digital photos of a party catching something - cannot be recognized nor is written anywhere on this site. Postcard are simply not digital photos. Postcards are sent by normal post.

postcard

postcard: "I began collecting postcards when I was in the 1st grade. My family lived in Germany and while we traveled around Western Europe I needed something inexpensive to collect. Thus the beginings of my collection.

Over the years I continued to pick up postcards on my travels. In 2000 (about 15 years after my collection started), I discovered online postcard trading. This allowed me to meet people around the world as well as increase my postcard

collection. I've never counted how many cards I have, but I would estimate that I have at least 2500 cards."

I tried my best to investigate the riches of the collection but found regrettably only a few tens - and all are very original unusual and am sorry that the exposition does not show more of them.

Affective Friends

Affective Friends I expected to find postcards and found none - the webmaster has surprised me. she is perhaps an autstanding collector because this hobby is sometimes helpful in affective disorders. Her descendant might come from Bohemia or the Czech R where I live as the name Novick - one of possibel transcriptions of NOVAK with long a, which is read short and almost as i in English. this may be friendly web meeting with her and I am going to leave an email for her.
But all the same, I expected the postcards and have found none.

Prague and Lithography, senefelder On-line gallery, postcards with old stamps, culture, collecting postcards

Prague and Lithography, senefelder On-line gallery, postcards with old stamps, culture, collecting postcards: "He established this site to honour the inventor of lithography, off-set nowadays, Aloys Senefelder, who was born in Prague in 1771"
This is written on the site on Prague postcards and is true, to amdend a bit, his father was an actor and the family a rather large one was staying in Prague in the 1771 because his father was performing here in the Stavovske divadlo in English perhaps The Higher Estates Theater placed conveniently in the same street where the Senefelder's lived - in Rytirska ulice - Knight Street. And he was baptized with Vltavas water as me but a bit later and given the following names:_ Alois, Franz, Jonann-Nepomuck the latter one is to honour the Czech Martyr who was tortured and his body thrown in the river Moldau, Vltava king's personal confessor. And that was on 6 November 1771. a few historic facts in addition to the homepage.

Horse Postcard trading page

Horse Postcard trading page: "I collect horse postcards and currently I have over 28,000 different horse postcards. I have been collecting for over 40 years and in the past few years I have discovered many new trading friends via the internet."

Incredible almost 30 thousand of postcard in one collection - this must be tons of paper and I wonder how this collector manages this collection as to finding fast what he wants. The horses are yet another theme frequently covered by postcards.
Anyway, this is enomous by the common standards of postcard collecting - and I have only admiration and silent amazement -

Prague and Lithography, senefelder On-line gallery, postcards with old stamps, culture, collecting postcards

Prague and Lithography, senefelder On-line gallery, postcards with old stamps, culture, collecting postcards: "I lithographed ie drew on stones views of Prague. I had them printed as postcards with names of the most famous beauty spots of Prague. I put a few of postage stamps from my grandfather's stamp collection, which are almost 100 years old and send my postcard via airmail worldwide - an original and rare philatelic postcard collectible with an ever growing value.----- " and I have sent quite a lot of them, at least tens fo them to every State of US, and I hope that tourists planning to visit Prague would like to have a very simple and still true summary of the most imortant historical and architectural monuments they should visit when they finally get here. Or at least to have a list of those noted and most famous beauty spots to choose from in advance.

ikarian_digit_photoshop

ikarian_digit_photoshop postcards - this time sent digitally by Icaros himself frem Greece and we have only digital edition. The place must be charming and virtually abounding in natural beauty - well before we , the mankind have manged to infest these islands with bus and plane loads of tourists swallowing hamburgers drinking good water and listenting with little or rather next to zero attention to the guide's lecture on the islands beauties¨- next step, beach pollution, urinating defecating and letting out other kind of even more shocking - SHOCKING- and objectionable - yet actually very frequently humane and human fluids. But this brings money in the land - doesn't it? Who cares about pollution. Only a silly blogger like me.
Soon we shall be having only postcards of such charming beauty spots. But this is a MUST VISIT, after all - I have seen a famous celebrity on TV and she he was there a year ago - now this is our turn - aren't we all celebs?
Certainly are but the earth is going to be a disused stinky and overpopulated ball spinning sadly in the Universe.

Sakura and Syaoran postcards!

Sakura and Syaoran postcards! the postcards no longer work (Accurately, the images do not show up), but, you can still see the thumbnails. If you like thesepictures
This is the world of animated postcards - new features has been added to postcards all the time - I remember postcards with with a layer of vinyl which could be played as normal LP on a record player! Here in Prague a short sound bite with the chimes of Old Town Horologe - Astronomic Clock with that famous cock crow and and rattle of the skeleton in the and of every whole hour on Manes' dial as programmed many centuries ago by Mr Hanus - the legendary blind clock smith.

Of course, not every day I can but I ask the social service woman to bring them to post when I feel to weak - which is more and more frequent recently. The systemic diseases even if I spend a fortune on medication are in their progress very difficult to stop.

begginig

Where to begin? This is a very simple question - by postcard I drew on stones so many years ago that it is difficult to believe now, when I must try hard to type a few lines in the blog.
